Punjab Local Body Elections Phase 3 Final Results
The polling continued from 07:30 AM to 05:30 PM.
The six districts of Sindh are West Karachi, South Karachi, East Karachi, Korangi, Central Karachi and Malir while those of Punjab are Layyah, Rajanpur, D.G. Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi, Jhang, Khushab, Multan, Sialkot, Narowal, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
A fierce competition took place between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Punjab while mainly candidates of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) battled in Karachi.
In Punjab, 1,69,86,946 are registered voters. Out of these, 94,47,933 are male voters while 75,39,13 are female. 14,470 polling stations were established in Punjab for 1,335 Union Councils (UC). 31,848 candidates battled for General seats in 12 districts of Punjab.
These elections will decide as to who will rule Karachi. Citizens exercised their voting rights to elect a new Mayor for the provincial Capital. 4,141 polling stations have been established in the city, out of which 1,791 stations were declared extremely sensitive while 2,116 were declared as moderately sensitive. Number of registered voters in Sindh’s metropolis is 7,082,319.

8:50 AM: Overall results uptill now for all 3 phases of LH polls in Punjab: PML-N victorious with 3136 seats. Independent candidates won 2810 while PTI won 832, PPP 162, PML-Q 81 and JI secured 12 seats.
8:47 AM: Overall results up till now for all 3 phases of LG polls in Sindh: PPP leads with 2520 seats followed by independent candidates with 451. MQM secured 222 seats in all 3 phases. PML-F won 147, PML-N 128, PTI 24 while JUI-F won 23 seats.
7:48 AM: Muzzaffargarh s unofficial, inconclusive results for 161 out of 293 seats received. Independent candidates win 117 seats. PML-N follows with 30 seats. PTI wins 13 while PPP secures single seat.
7:40 AM: Multan s unofficial, inconclusive results for 202 out of 208 seats received. PML-N victorious with 81 seats, independent candidates secure 77 while PTI win 32 seats. PPP manages to win 12 seats.
7:28 AM: Unofficial, inconclusive results for all 118 seats of Layyah received. Independent candidates lead polls with 52 seats while PML-N manages to secure 44 seats.
7:17 AM: Khushab s unofficial, inconclusive results for 180 out of 198 seats received. PML-N leads with 71 seats while independent candidates come in second with 68 seats. PTI wins 40 seats while JUI-F wins single seat.
7:10 AM:Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan s unofficial, inconclusive results for 84 out of 148 seats received. PML-N wins 41 seats, independent candidates manage to grab 28 seats. PTI secures 13 while JUI-F wins 2 seats.
6:58 AM: Bahawalpur s unofficial, inconclusive results for 214 out of 236 seats received. PML-N leads polls with 137 seats, independent candidates secure 57 seats. PTI wins 12, PMLQ manages 11 while PPP secures 2 seats.
