Pakistan Has Lifted Bans on Trade With Iran
Islamabad: A federal Minster level meeting was held in Islamabad chaired by Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Daar. The meeting has decided to lift bans on Iran according to UN security Council,s resolution no 2231. The formal notification has been issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs according to the decision made in meeting. The committee will review the economic and commercial relationships with Iran. According to the statement the the office will review the relations with Iran in the fields of trade, investment, technology, banking, finance and energy.
According to the notification all the sanctions on Iran will stand repealed according to the Security Council,s new resolution 2231.
Pakistan had welcomed the Joint Comprehensive Program of Action (JCPOA) agreed between Iran and European Union, China, United States, Germany France, United Kingdom and Russia.
With the lifting of sanctions, economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Iran will get a new boost. It will enable the two countries to fully reinvigorate various bilateral and multilateral arrangements for promoting investments and cooperation in across all sectors including banking, finance, industry and energy.
